Barcelona in the 11th round of the Spanish Championship confidently won the game with Osasuna (4: 0). After the Catalans striker Lionel Messi scored the fourth goal into the net of the opponent, he decided to dedicate this goal to Diego Maradona, legendary compatriot, who died at the age of 60 on November 25 due to problems with the cardiovascular system.
After scorring the goal, Messi took off his jersey, showing the shirt of the Argentine club Newells Old Boys with the 10th number on the back worn under it. Both Messi and Maradona used to play for the Newells Old Boys 1993, with Lionel at the youth level. However, even this goal of Messi did not help Barcelona avoid a fine for taking off the shirt by the player.
It is stated in the article 91 of the RFEF's Disciplinary Code that: "The player who, after scoring a goal or for any other reason, lifts up his shirt and displays any kind of advertising, slogan, message, acronym, anagram or drawing, whatever the contents or purpose of the action, will be punished, as the author of a serious offence, with a fine of up to 3,000 euros and a warning.”
The Catalans will be forced to pay three thousand euros for the Argentine's act, because a fine and a yellow card for removing a football shirt are provided for by the rules of La Liga and FIFA.
There are no doubts that the number 10 will be glad to make to pay the fine on this occasion.
