Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland received the Golden Boy-2020 for the best young player in Europe.

The 20-year-old Norwegian became the first footballer from the Scandinavian countries to receive this award.

Borussia's forward won the prestigious Golden Boy award. The Norwegian passed Ansu Fati and Alfonso Davis, who took 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.

In January 2020, Haaland moved to the bumblebee camp, for which he played 29 matches, scored 27 goals and gave 6 assists.

And already in the evening of the same day, Haaland, in the match with Gertha, completed poker in just 33 minutes and came in second in the German Championship scorers' race.

The Norwegian has already scored 23 goals in 22 games in the Bundesliga. He broke the record of Uwe Seeler, who scored 20 goals in 22 meetings.

Interestingly, Barcelona's attacking player Anssumane Fati became the best young player in the internet poll.
Midfielder Sandro Tonali, rented by Milan from Brescia, was named the best Italian player under 21.

The Golden Boy Award is an annual football award given to the best young footballer of the year in Europe. The winner of the award must be 21 years old or younger and must have competed in the top division of one of the European championships.

The award was established in 2003 by the editor-in-chief of Tuttosport newspaper. The first owner was Rafael van der Wart from Ajax. Atletico attacking midfielder João Felix won the Golden Boy last year.
