Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola has signed a new two-year contract with the team, according to which he will remain in office until the end of the 2022-23 season.

"As a manager, I have everything I need. Especially I know that all the managers depend on results. Of course, me as well. We have to win to continue," says Guardiola

ManCity management provided the specialist with the necessary time to think so that he could think about this decision with his family. During long talks, it was mutually decided that there is still unfinished business and the club together with Guardiola still has things to do. As a result, the 49-year-old Spaniard agreed to sign the agreement.

Guardiola says that one of the reasons he has decided to stay is an exceptional club organization, including the team, marketing, media, sponsor department, "I feel comfortable working with them. It's a fantastic organization, fantastic club."

He stays in the club because he wants to spend time with its people, "They make me feel from the day one home, me and my family. And right now, I feel I could not be in a better place to do my job and still have the energy."

Guardiola's career at Manchester City

Guardiola has been coaching Manchester City since 2016. Under his leadership, the club twice became the champion of England, won the English League Cup three times, won the English Super Cup twice, and also won the FA Cup once. Prior to that, the Spanish coach led the Spanish "Barcelona" for four years and the German "Bavaria" for three years.

This season, "Manchester City" is not very successful in the English Premier League. After seven games, Manchester City is 10th in the Premier League with three wins, three draws and one loss. In the Champions League, everything is much better - the team occupies the first line in its group, having won 3 wins in 3 matches.
