A few days earlier, there were alarming reports that Inter Milan defender Danilo D'Ambrosio had tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus.

The Dutch defender had just been sent to self-isolation when the results of a new control testing of the “snakes” players were immediately received. The next victim of the virus was the goalkeeper of the team Samir Handanovich.

The medical staff did their best to protect their players from the further spread of COVID-19 within the team, however, apparently, lost in this battle.

According to the official website of Inter, today, March 18, the club received the results of a new batch of control tests. The result is depressing just two players, “Nerazzurri” will be forced to go to self-isolation.

We are talking about central defender Stefan de Vree and midfielder Matias Vesino, who were instantly sent to self-isolation.

However, the local health service of the city of Milan did not wait for further developments, and issued a decree, according to which: Any sporting activity of Inter must be suspended for a period of four days; Saturday home match against Sassuolo Snakes must be canceled; all calls of players to the national teams must be canceled.

The next testing of the team will take place on Monday, March 22, as a result of which the management and regulatory authorities of the region will hold a meeting on the further scenario of the fight against the outbreak of COVID-19 within the Milan club.
